Something to remember
I performed tea ceremony and a small traditional music performance in a festival held in where I live last weekend. It was fun, although I had to run here and there to do both performances. It was probably my last contribution in the festival and I am so glad everything went well.
I was wearing this beautiful orange kimono for the tea ceremony. But the best part about it was…. I finally got the chance to serve tea for one whom I have always hoped to be serving tea for ever since I started learning the procedure. Got a warm encouragement before the music performance, and somebody to go to in the back stage after the performance and share all the excitement.
That person may know nothing about tea ceremony and never heard any of the songs I played in the music performance… but it does not matter. The presence, the encouragement, the smile… and a chance to share some part of my world… are something to remember.
