Tokyo Midtown

I couldn’t imagine a quiet open space with green grass and trees in Roppongi, but today I went to one. I’ve heard about Tokyo Midtown awhile ago. People said it was nice place. I kinda thought the place would be kinda similar to Roppongi Hills… more like a stylish shopping place and fancy restaurants. In a way, Tokyo Midtown also has that atmosphere but it also has a small park where people can actually do picnic and walking barefeet on green grass.

I had so much fun today. Good lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant that I discovered by accident in Shiodome. Had chicken pho and shrimp spring rolls for only 900 yen (yasui ne!). Watched Oceans 13 and had some laughs (probably one of very few people in the theatre who did get the jokes in the movie while the rest was lost in translation :P). And dinner picnic at Tokyo Midtown. Sitting on a bench enjoying maki zushi and cold ocha (yum!). Cool breeze, the sound of semi (don’t know the name in English), Tokyo Tower from a far…. perfect!
